Since 2004, Göteborg-Kungsporten has had a collaboration with the Integration Network, since 2015 Integration Network Göteborg, https://integrationsnatverk-goteborg.se/, a politically, religiously, ethnically independent, non-profit association with its operations in Hisingen.
The association began its operations in Biskopsgården in 1996 and since 2008 it has been located in premises at Vårvindsgatan 20.
The association has daily activities for immigrants where participants are primarily trained in Swedish, but also informed about Swedish society and what is required to actively become a part of it. Participants also receive advice and support in health issues, questions about migration, work, leisure activities, etc. In addition, the association arranges study visits and excursions, all with the aim of the participants getting to know Swedish society.
The association's initiator and head of operations is Behjat Sharifi, himself a refugee from Iran almost thirty years ago.

"To awaken the will to understand and enter Swedish society"
