An initial question was how and why she, as a successful journalist who won a major journalism award, chose to become a politician. After some hesitation, she took on this with the hope of perhaps being able to influence the development of issues related to the climate, the environment and perhaps most of all issues related to the sea around our country.
She was even surprised by how much she was able to achieve in her role as an EU parliament member, more than she expected. She emphasized how important it was that the EU held together and continued to regulate and legislate in various areas, not least in the environmental area, so that we can achieve what was agreed in the Paris Agreement and it can set standards for the rest of the world as well.
She expressed optimism about our ability to reach the climate goals provided we act now and delay the goals.
