Implementation of cardiac care in Ethiopia

On Friday, March 27, we will be visited by Mostaffa Ghaffari, who works as a perfusionist and has been involved in implementing cardiac care in Ethiopia. A perfusionist, some might wonder, is it a perfectionist in healthcare? Perhaps a new word for many of us. It is actually a person who works with heart-lung machines and other pumps that can help blood circulation during surgery or in critical situations. Mostaffa came to Sweden from Iran in the 1980s and has since trained in healthcare as a surgical nurse and then as a perfusionist.
